Denji is Chainsaw Man's Human Form. He became Chainsaw Man after his dead body was resurrected by his pet dog, [Pochita](https://anilist.co/character/170266/Pochita).

He is a Public Safety Devil Hunter who works under [Makima](https://anilist.co/character/137080/Makima) as a member of an experimental squad in Special Tokyo Division 4. He works alongside his partner [Power](https://anilist.co/character/137079/Power) and under the supervision of [Aki Hayakawa](https://anilist.co/character/137081/Aki-Hayakawa).

Denji's personality is both brash and naive as a result of being unable to have a formal education and socialize due to living in severe poverty. He comes off as rude and harsh, yet in an almost childish way. He doesn't know how to be clever or wise but he knows how to lighten the mood. As the Chainsaw Devil, he has the ability to grow chainsaws out of his body.

Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. She tends to fights if she has something to gain and is certain of her victory and has no problems in running away from a fight where she is outmatched. She also feels the need to boast her superiority over her fellow Devil Hunters due to her status as a fiend. She has no loyalty to humanity, openly admitting that she will join the winning side. Power is often rude, unkempt, and feels as though those around her should clean up after her. She self-admittedly rarely bathes or flushes the toilet and sees humans as being sensitive for caring about their hygiene so much. As the Blood Fiend, she has the power to freely manipulate the blood within her own body.

早川亜希は、一般的にはとてもストイックな人間に見える。デビルハンター仲間といるときは大人しく、頼もしく振る舞うが、一人でいるときは実はとてもソフト。他人にすぐ執着する傾向があり、人が傷つくのを見るのが嫌いで、特に親しい友人が嫌いだ。アキがデビルハンターになった一番の理由と目的は、家族の復讐のために【ガンデビル】(https://anilist.co/character/208942/Juu-no-Akuma)を殺すこと。

ポチータは小さな赤いイヌで、頭の中心からチェーンソーのようなものが突き出ている。体からはチェーンソーのように振り回すためのハンドルが出ており、短い尻尾はチェーンソーの引き紐の形をしている。他の悪魔とは異なり、ポチータは実際の犬のように吠え声と鳴き声だけでコミュニケーションをとる。

姫野は、自分の下で働く新人の上司として、成熟した経験豊富な姿を見せている。また、ストレスの多い状況でも冷静に対処できる。姫野はデビルハンターとしての職務において非常に効率的で、ぶっきらぼうである。しかし、部下を危険にさらしたり、危害を加えたりするような新入社員の行動には寛容で、厳しい一面もある。

姫野は、仕事柄、複数のパートナーの突然の死を目の当たりにした結果、極めて悲観的な世界観を持っている。デビルハンターの死因は "師匠"(https://anilist.co/character/144593/Kishibe)の教えと相まって、ニコチン中毒になってしまった。また、彼女は非常に飄々と性的な振る舞いをする傾向があり、快楽主義的なライフスタイルを楽しんでいる。しかし、喫煙中毒と同様に、彼女の快楽主義的な方法は快楽としてではなく、むしろ別の防衛機制として使われている。
