Prism messengers part of the Rinne program were meant to help female prism stars while Shine was meant to help male prism stars. Shine ended up breaking the rules of the prism messengers by performing in public himself, and the Prism G.O.Ds tasked Rinne to kill Shine. Rinne went against orders and sealed Shine away with a prism jump because she was in love with him. After this, Rinne began exhibiting errors causing the Prism G.O.Ds to erase her data.

Rinne was eventually reprogrammed as a new program, "Louis". After being reborn as Louis, he was tasked again by the Prism Gods to kill Shine, who now resides in Shin. However, Louis retains memories of his past life and refuses to kill him. He eventually realizes that he doesn't love Shin because Shine lives within him, but because he grew to love him after spending time with him.!~

Kakeru is the heir to Juuouin Holdings and a student at Kakyoin Academy of Edel Rose. He is the managing director of his fathers company. His birth name is Kazuo Juuouin.

Kakeru's personality is commonly and officially defined as "charai" which can mean "flirtatious" or "trashy". In Shiny Seven Stars it is revealed that in his upbringing as an heir, Kakeru was brought into his family's business very early and faced a harsh world of business filled with corruption and betrayal. As a result, Kakeru found it hard to trust other people and doubted that "love" existed. After discovering Prism Shows, Kakeru enrolled into Edel Rose "to confirm if love exists".

Despite his playful character, Kakeru is known to have a more serious side to him. According to [Hiro](https://anilist.co/character/126908/), Kakeru is actually a diligent student, helps his father with his work, and genuinely loves prism shows. However, if this side to him is brought up he gets embarrassed about it. He even goes to measures to hide this aspect of himself, such as hiding his prism star magazines from Shin. He is also an otaku who seems to like every genre of anime, and is said to have once went shopping for action figures with Hiro.

A street-style prism star and a student at Kakyoin Academy of Edel Rose. He was inspired to become a street-style prism star after meeting [Kazuki](https://anilist.co/character/126907/) as a child when he first visited Tokyo with his family.

He has somewhat of a rash nature that is commonly described as yankee and is often called as such by [Kakeru](https://anilist.co/character/126902/). He is known to be stubborn and self-centered, not caring about other people's business as long as it doesn't concern him. However, he acts indifferent towards other people because he is hiding his compassion. Beneath his ignorant attitude is actually a burning passion for things he loves, such as his love towards street-style prism shows, his enthusiasm for Japanese festivals, and his admiration for Kazuki.

He is considered the princess of the kabuki world. He enrolls Edel Rose despite his parents' extreme opposition. He is hiding that he's performing Prism Shows from the public eye and started doing them to try to break out from his shell.

Kouji Mihama is one of the love interests in Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live. He often is seen playing the guitar and singing. He used to be in the musical section of Edel Rose until a certain conflict with former classmate [Hiro Hayami](https://anilist.co/character/126908/) when he stole his song. However, he still attends the school. He is dating fellow musician and Prism Star [Ito Suzuno](https://anilist.co/character/80425/).

Kazuki Nishina is one of the love interests in Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live. He is the childhood friend of [Kouji Mihama](https://anilist.co/character/126906/), [Ann Fukuhara](https://anilist.co/character/80427/), and [Wakana Morizono](https://anilist.co/character/80435/), although he doesn't remember her very well. He is part of a street-dancing group, and is the son of a family of sign-artists.

Hiro Hayami is a young man enrolled at Edel Rose who aims to become an idol. Self-centered, many of his sweet words towards girls are covered in lies. He will do anything to achieve his goals, including stealing and trickery. He has a near-obsession with [Kouji](https://anilist.co/character/126906/), and almost debuted as an idol alongside him. [Bell](https://anilist.co/character/80431/) is one of the only people who understands his twisted personality.
