Wako Izumi is an air-headed young lady who is never seen without a smile. She is often engrossed in minor things, completely ignoring her surroundings and oblivious to both obstacles and her mistakes.

Midori Nagumo is an energetic and headstrong college student who recently moved to the City. She hates responsibility and avoids it at all costs. Her best friend is Niikura, whom she constantly pesters for money. She's usually identifiable by her ponytail and blue hoodie. Her irrational behavior annoys everyone around her.

Ayumu Niikura is Nagumo's best friend and roommate. Nagumo constantly asks her for money. She is more responsible than Nagumo, but her constant dealing with Nagumo's antics has left her with a short temper. She owns a yellow scooter that she rides around the City. She is an aspiring photographer.

The owner and head chef of Makabe's Western Bistro. He has a nonchalant, apathetic attitude, and doesn't care enough to deal with details. Despite his apparent lack of motivation, everyone knows that he won't put up with disobedience. He ends up hiring an unwilling Nagumo when Tatewaku tells him she offered to work for the restaurant. Also known as "Chef Makabe" for simplicity's sake.
