Tanjirou is kind by nature and has been described by others as having very gentle eyes. He has a great deal of determination and will not give up once he has a goal to achieve, an example being finding a cure for Nezuko. Even though he is relatively strong on his own, he isn't opposed to asking others for help when he needs it. He is very protective of his friends and even more so of his younger sister. His biggest attribute is his ability to empathize with anyone, even demons.

Water pillar in the Demon Killing Corps. Giyuu is reserved and displays little emotion, instead giving off a calm feeling most of the time. As a water breath user, Giyuu has created his own style. The eleventh style, Lull, gives him the ability to nullify any oncoming attacks, though rapid attacks can pierce through it. Though Giyuu is reserved, he does have a few friends, such as Tanjirou and, in the past, Sabito. Shinobu often pokes fun at Giyuu and is merciless when doing so, such as saying he has no friends and that others don't like him.

Shinobu is a demon slayer and the Insect Pillar of the Demon Killing Corps. She is 18 years old and one of two female pillars.

Shinobu appears rather laid back, and always has a smile on her face regardless of the situation. Despite her relaxed exterior and her initial claim of wanting to get along with demons, she can be rather cruel and harbors a great deal of anger towards them. She is generally kind to other humans, but is rather sadistic in her treatment of demons. As a pillar, she is a top-class fighter despite her small stature. She is also well-versed in medical knowledge, and can concoct poisons and medicines alike.

~!During the Infinity Castle Arc, she encounters the Upper 2 demon Douma and is slain by him in a fight. However, since she poisoned herself before the fight, Douma is severely incapacitated after eating her.!~

Muichiro is an air-headed individual who seems to constantly wander off in thought and never focus on one thing. Impassive and, at times, obtuse, he tends to think only for himself and operates on logic alone, never letting emotion guide him. Despite this, he has been shown to get serious when it is required and is devoted to his position as the Demon Slayer Corps' Mist Hashira. Alternatively, he seems to display a cold and arrogant side as well. ~!He later died at Kokushibo's hand.!~

Sanemi specializes in Wind Breathing, which has 9 forms. The technique consists of drawing the air from around the user to create whirlwind attacks that follow the user's movements. Form names include Dust Whirlwind Cutter, Claws-Purifying Wind, Clean Storm Wind Tree, Rising Dust Storm, Cold Mountain Wind, Black Wind Mountain Mist, Gale - Sudden Gusts, Primary Gale Slash, and Idaten Typhoon.

Demon Hunter and the Love Pillar of the Demon Killing Corps. Mitsuri is a soft and kind person. She is very emotional and passionate, constantly complimenting people in her head, which probably contributes to her nickname of "the Hashira of Love". Although she is rather shy and is easily flustered, she is always kind to others, most notably towards Obanai, whom she appears to share a strong bond with. Besides her rather emotional personality, she can also come off as somewhat childish at times.

~!She was taught by Rengoku to use the flame breathing. However, although Mitsuri has learnt it, she was not as skillful with it and cannot fight to her fullest using it, leading her to solely develop the Love Breathing.!~

Obanai is a Demon Slayer and the Snake Pillar of the Demon Slayer Corps.

A young man of short stature and a pale complexion. He has straight-edged black hair of varying lengths, the longest reaching down to his shoulders and the shortest stopping at his cheekbones, which he wears down with two shorter strands hanging between his eyes. He wears a navy blue version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, along with a black and white pinstriped haori, the hem and cuffs of which are striped lengthways rather than vertically, which covers his hands. Obanai also sports bandages in place of the leg-wraps around his calves, as well as another set of bandages that cover his mouth, and blue-strapped zori on his feet.

He is also always seen with his white snake, Kaburamaru, wrapped around his shoulders.

She can change her size at will, and is a capable fighter when she needs to be, but has never killed or eaten any humans. Instead of gaining nourishment from humans, it seems that she recovers her energy by sleeping for long periods of times.

Inosuke is usually seen wearing a grey boar mask, with a shirtless version of the Demon hunter uniform. Without the mask he has messy shoulder length black hair and large green eyes with long eyelashes. He is described as having a girly looking face which greatly contrasts with his muscular body.

Inosuke is extremely short-tempered and proud, and makes a big deal out of fighting opponents stronger than him claiming that's his only hobby. He is a sore loser and is always trying to compete with Tanjiro and provoke him into fighting him, and usually failing. Due to growing up in the mountains by himself Inosuke has trouble interacting with others and only cares about himself most of the time. Though he's often seen with 2 swords in hand, Inosuke is left-handed.

Kanao Tsuyuri is a Demon Hunter and the Tsuguko, who is personally looked after by the Demon Killing Corps' Pillars.

~!When Kanao is first introduced, she is an indecisive and quiet girl due to the abuse she endured in her past before meeting the Kocho sisters. She became unable to make decisions by herself and repressed her emotions as a defense mechanism. In order to help rectify this, Kanae gave her a coin to flip to decide which path to follow when she didn't know what to do.

Later on, Tanjiro helps Kanao overcome her indecisiveness and Kanao soon becomes more confident in making decisions with or without her coin.

Kanao and Tanjiro would eventually marry and start a family, having two great-great-grandchildren by the names of [Kanata Kamado](https://anilist.co/character/171144/Kanata-Kamado) and [Sumihiko Kamado](https://anilist.co/character/171145/Sumihiko-Kamado) between them.!~

He is Upper Moon Two, making him the third-strongest demon after Muzan and Upper Moon One. He has a very friendly attitude, and fights with a pair of metal fans. He is the founder of a cult known as the "Eternal Paradise Cult," and eats his followers, allegedly in order to release them from the pain of living.

A member of the Twelve Demon Moons, holding the position of Upper Moon Three. While he was human, his name was Hakuji.
