カイリューはドラコ型の二足歩行ポケモンで、薄いオレンジ色の肌をしている。灰緑色の大きな目と、小さな鼻の穴がある丸い鼻が特徴。頭頂部からは細長い触角が1対生えており、その間に小さな角がある。縞模様のある下腹部はクリーム色で、首から先細りの長い尾の先まで伸びている。太い腕と脚にはそれぞれ3本の爪がある。脚の関節は明瞭で、腕は滑らかで丸みを帯びている。カイリューの翼は体に比べて小さく、ティール色の翼膜を持つ。

カイリュウは体格が大きいにもかかわらず、音速よりも速く飛ぶことができる。時速1,556マイル（時速2,505km）、平均的な飛行機の約3倍の速さで、地球を16時間で一周することができる。人間のような知性を持つ心優しいポケモンで、カイリューは利他的な一面を見せる。溺れかけている人間を助けたり、遭難した船や沈没した船を安全な場所に導くと言われている。しかし、アニメで示されたように、環境が脅かされると制御不能の破壊的な暴れ方をする。カイリューは野生では非常に珍しく、通常は海の近くに生息している。海のどこかに海龍だけが生息する島があるという説もある。

~カイリューはサトシが初めて捕まえたポケモンである。ロケット団のホウオウの水しぶきの後、サトシを助けるためにハクリューから進化し、サトシの仲間になった。

このカイリューはとても人懐っこく、出会った人間やポケモンに抱きつこうとする。

ラティアスは飛行機を模した鳥のような体を持つポケモンである。しゃがんだ体から長い首が前に伸びている。足はなく、通常は浮いている。後半身は大きく赤、上半身は白で、ジェット機のような翼が背中の高い位置にあり、尻尾に近い下部にはヒレがある。胸の中央には青い三角形があり、赤いマスクが顔の一部を覆っている。頭頂部には耳のようなヒレがあり、目は黄色。腕は短く3本指で、下腕の外側に赤い覆いがある。

The Princess of the Vers Empire. She is very close to Slaine. She went to Earth on a goodwill visit, but her motorcade was attacked and she was presumed to have died. This assassination was used by the orbiting Martians as a casus belli for their invasion. However, the princess was ill that day and the person who died was a body double. Asseylum now travels with Inaho's group under a false identity until they can get a message back to her grandfather in hopes of stopping the rekindled war.

Asseylum is an idealist and pacifist. She believes in peaceful solutions and she sees the people of the Earth in a good light. Unlike many of the Martians shown so far, she seems to treat the people of Earth as equal humans. Asseylum appears to be regretful of the actions that led to the Second Earth-Mars War between the Martians and the people of Earth, yet she feels that she has the responsibility to help stop the war.

Asseylum is kind, caring, and compassionate, however she is also naive, believing that if her grandfather found out that she were still alive, that the war would end. Asseylum later realizes her naivety, and that certain people of VERS were only using her as an excuse to start a war with Earth.

Asseylum seems to also have a bold and decisive side, she is not particularly guarded around others being quickly open and friendly. Asseylum seems to prioritize the safety of others over herself, and takes her position as the Princess of VERS seriously.

Inaho is a young boy of average height and short tousled black hair. His eyes hold a burgundy color and he has a blank gaze. He is seen in his high school standard uniform which consists of a white shirt, red tie and white sweater, along with a light brown blazer on the outside and black pants. His backpack is dark blue.

Inaho is a calm, intelligent boy. Even at times of great distress, he calmly thinks of a way out. He is intuitive and not afraid to go on many different tactics to analyze the opponents and figure out the suitable strategy.

Inaho's parents died sometime prior to the war and he lived alone with his sister. Waking up, cooking breakfast for his sister, he leaves for his school in Shinawara. He, along with his friends, attended the parade where the princess was killed by a missile attack. Shortly after, the Orbital Knights declared war on the Terrans and invaded Earth. Inaho's daily life was shattered because of the attack.

~!After Slaine nearly kills him, it is discovered that part of Asseylum's powers that activate the Aldnoah Drive were transferred to him when he gave her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. He now has a bionic eye and a processor specializing in prediction algorithms serving as his temporal cortex. However, it's soon revealed that his eye is slowly invading and taking over his brain whenever Inaho uses it, expanding over every time.!~

~!In episode 10 of the second cour, it's revealed that the eye has expanded so much that it takes control of him when he falls unconscious. After this event, it's also shown that he can talk with his eye.!~

~!At the end of second cour, Inaho decides to get his bionic eye removed since the war has ended and thus, he has no need for it. Instead, he starts wearing an eyepatch.!~

He is the son of Dr. Troyard, a brilliant scientist researching Aldnoah, and was launched to Mars by his father as a means to protect him. He was found by [Princess Asselyum Vers Allusia](https://anilist.co/character/88175/Asseylum-Vers-Allusia) who took him in and later on became her tutor. After several years of living on Mars, [Count Cruhteo](https://anilist.co/character/88435/Cruhteo) takes custody over Slaine.

Slaine is very friendly and loyal towards Princess Asselyum as she was the one who saved him and the first person he met on Mars. He wishes to support her in any way possible and is willing to put his own life at risk in order to protect Princess Asselyum. Towards others however, he acts coldly and does not seem to trust anyone other than the Princess, often distancing himself from both Martians and Terrans. He is always seen with a serious look on his face.

Slaine proves himself to be a very capable pilot, able to quickly maneuver around in a Kataphrakt and face Inaho by himself.
